With this plugin you can easily insert the Google Analytics tracking code into your Joomla! site. It offers the possibility to track or untrack users according to their Joomla! usergroup (Guests, Registered, Authors, Editors, Publishers, Manager, Administrators, Super Administrators). You can use it for example not to track yourself while logged in as admin in the front-end.

In Germany there is an actual privacy problem with Google Analytics. It's not allowed to track the IP address without permission of the user.

Google Analytics offers the possibility of anonymize_ip to track only shortend IPs. This plugin offers the possibility to activate "anonymize_ip" so that only shortend IPs will be tracked by Google.
