26/07/2010 A request for the date to be included has been added. There are options in the module configuration to select how the date is displayed.

22/06/2010 A slight tweak to the default.php file, to make the output pass XHTML validation.

UPDATE v1.4 a conflict between this module and the standard Joomla module when both displayed on the same page has been resolved.

A modification to the Joomla Latest News module. The module now displays the article title and intro text.

A lot more configuration available via the admin panel. You can now specify:

UL class
LI class
article title class
intro text class
Specify how many characters of the into text to display
Specify what to so after truncated text
Specify whether to show a read more
What text to display for read more and its class

As noted below there was an issue with the module displaying the intro text with all its html code. I have now fixed this error.
